ROANOKE, Va. - The Emory & Henry men's tennis team (1-10, 0-5 ODAC) traveled to Roanoke, Virginia on the campus of Hollins University to take on Hampden-Sydney (7-3, 2-1 ODAC) in a conference matchup. It was a tough outing for the Wasps, as the Tigers shut them out, 9-0.
Men's Doubles
Each of the doubles teams were defeated to start the match off. The one seed lost, 8-1. The two seed was shut out, 8-0. And the three seed, fell by a score of 8-2.
Men's Singles
At one singles, sophomore Grayson McCarty (Marion, Va.) lost, 6-0, 6-1. The two seed lost by the same score as well. Dalton Shipley (Gate City, Va.) was able to steal a game in each set at three singles, as he lost, 6-1, 6-1. Cooper Garrett (Gate City, Va.) went down, 6-0, 6-1 at four singles. Five and six singles were shut out, 6-0, 6-0 on the day.
