Emory & Henry Men's Tennis Gets Back On Track Over Ferrum, 6-1, On Senior Day Saturday

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (9-6, 3-6 ODAC) kept its postseason hopes alive on Saturday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Ferrum College (3-12, 1-8 ODAC) in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play. The match also served as Senior Day for the Wasps, who honored senior Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) prior to the start of competition.

How It Happened
The Wasps got out to a 3-0 lead after the doubles portion of the match. Junior Cooper Garrett (Gate City, Va.) and freshman Archer Marlow (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) led the way with an 8-1 victory at No. 2.

In singles action, Marlow earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at the second flight while freshman Brandon McGuire (Christiansburg, Va.) won, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1. McClung closed out the afternoon with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 6.
