VIRIGNIA BEACH, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Cross Country Team picked up a seventh-place finish at the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships Saturday afternoon. The meet was hosted on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan University.

- Junior Austin Tolbert (Wytheville, Va.) broke the Emory & Henry record, finishing 10th overall in 25:52 to become just the second-ever All-ODAC runner for the Wasps.
- Senior Buck Kirtland (Richmond, Va.) was second on the squad in 42nd, stopping the watches in 27:36 while senior Michael LoGrande (Alexandria, Va.) and junior Zane Moran (Floyd, Va.) took 47th (27:55) and 48th (27:56), respectively.
- Sophomore Colt Pierce (Lockhart, Texas) was fifth for E&H at 92nd with a time of 34:02 while senior Caleb Simpson (Richmond, Va.) was 94th overall (34:59).
The Winners
- Washington and Lee University won its third-straight championship with four runners in the top six, including the second, third and fourth finishers. The Generals finished with five all-league performers (Top 14).
- Robert Heigel of Bridgewater College won the meet in 24:35, topping W&L's Mackenzye Leroy by 31 seconds.
- Bridgewater was the team runner-up while Lynchburg College took third overall.

- Emory & Henry will complete the 2017 season at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region Championship on Saturday, November 11.
- Christopher Newport University will serve as the host for this year's regional meet.
