EMORY, Va. – In conjunction with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference office, the Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics wishes to honor seniors whose seasons were unexpectedly cut short this spring by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Our recognitions, which will cover the next two weeks, begin today with women's golf.

Ashley Underwood

Ashley is a native of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee and a graduate of Carter High School. She was a member of the inaugural women's golf team during the 2017-18 season, and has held the No. 1 spot on the team for the last three years. Ashley has played in every tournament in all but one competitive round over her career. She currently shares a tie for the lowest round in program history with a score of 87. That round was good for a first-place finish as she propelled E&H to a dual-match win over Greensboro College during her junior year. She has also posted a pair of Top-25 finishes at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament and was named to the ODAC All-Academic Team for the 2017-18 season. A member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and the Pre-Health Club, Ashley is also an active volunteer with River's Way. Ashley is an Exercise Science major and will be continuing her education in the Occupational Therapy Program at the Emory & Henry School Health Sciences.
