Emory & Henry Women's Swimming Receives 11th Straight Academic Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the 11th semester in a row, the Emory & Henry College Women's Swimming Team has earned academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. The Wasps posted one of the top grade-point averages in NCAA Division III with a 3.13 cumulative team GPA.

For the fall semester, 171 different NCAA Division III women's programs achieved the Scholar All-America standard. E&H is among five Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools to earn the award. Hollins University (3.63), Washington and Lee University (3.44) Randolph-Macon College (3.17) and Bridgewater College (3.27) were also recognized.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming & diving teams, which have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. The CSCAA honors teams from each of the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.

Emory & Henry is currently 7-5 (5-2 ODAC) on the year in dual meets with a double-dual this weekend against LaGrange College and William Peace University. The Wasps posted a fourth-place finish at the Washington and Lee Invitational in December. E&H will conclude the 2018-19 season at the ODAC Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina on the weekend of February 15-18.
