For the fall semester, 182 different NCAA Division III women's programs achieved the Scholar All-America standard. E&H, with a 3.46 team GPA, is one of six Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools to earn the award. Washington and Lee University (3.53), Hollins University (3.51), Bridgewater College (3.38), Sweet Briar College (3.05) and Roanoke College (3.01) were also recognized.

On the men's side, there were 120 teams from NCAA Division III to earn the honor. Emory & Henry, with a 3.05 team GPA, was one of four from the ODAC – Washington and Lee (3.47), Virginia Wesleyan University (3.05) and Roanoke (3.00). Additionally, the E&H men were one of 23 programs nationwide to be recognized for the first time last fall.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming & diving teams, which have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. The CSCAA honors teams from each of the NCAA's three divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.

Emory & Henry just completed its third year of men's swimming and its eighth season of varsity competition for the women's program. The Wasps finished sixth (women) and seventh (men) at the 2020 ODAC Championships in February.
