Emory & Henry Cross Country Announces 2018 Meet Schedule

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams have set their schedule for the 2018 season. Now under the direction of David Cheromei, the Wasps will race in six meets in four different states this fall.

E&H will get the season started on Friday, August 31 at the Bridgewater XC Challenge in Bridgewater, Virginia.

A trip to Fayetteville, North Carolina on Saturday, September 8 for the Monarch Cross Country Classic, hosted by Methodist University awaits the Wasps the next week.

On Saturday, September 29, Emory & Henry travels to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to compete at the Paul Short Run. The event, hosted by Lehigh University, is one of the largest cross country meets in the country, attracting over 5,000 athletes and 400 teams.

The Wasps will close out the regular season on Saturday, October 13 at the Royals Cross Country Challenge at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On Saturday, October 27 Emory & Henry will compete at the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Shenandoah University at the Kernstown Battlefield. Two weeks later (Sat., Nov. 10) the Wasps will return to Mount Berry, Georgia for the 2018 NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region Championships. Berry College will serve as the regional host for the third time in five years.
