FOREST, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Tennis Team picked up the #7 seed for the upcoming Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament, ODAC officials announced Thursday. The league's postseason pairings were released with the conclusion of regular season play.

Emory & Henry reaches the postseason for the first time since the 2009 season and only the fourth time since the conference went to a team dual championship format in 2007.

The Wasps, who earned the seventh seed with a head-to-head victory over the Quakers of Guilford College, will travel to face off against the #2 Roanoke College Maroons on Saturday at a time yet to be determined.

During the regular season meeting between the two schools on March 22, RC claimed a 6-3 win at E&H's Richardson Tennis Courts. The Maroons were ranked 19th in the Atlantic South Region at the time of the match.

The Wasps got two of their three points via victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots by freshman Stella Di Michele (San Remo, ITALY) and senior Alyssa Wingate (Independence, Va.), respectively. The duo teamed up at the top doubles pairing to earn the third point of the match.

The winner of Saturday's quarterfinal match will face off against the winner of #6 Shenandoah University vs. #3 Randolph-Macon College next Saturday on the campus of Sweet Briar College at 11:00 a.m. The ODAC title match will be on Sunday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m., also on the Sweet Briar campus.
