ODAC Releases Pairings For 2020 Men's & Women's Basketball Tournaments

FOREST, Va. – The pairings for the 2020 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's & Women's Basketball Tournaments have been set as the 2019-20 regular season concluded Saturday night. The Emory & Henry College Women's Team has earned the #1 seed in the tournament by virtue of tying for first-place (15-3) during the regular season. The Men's Team is seeded 10th after putting together a 4-12 conference record.

The Emory & Henry Women (21-4, 15-3 ODAC) have earned one of the top three seeds for the fifth year in a row with their #1 spot this year. The Wasps and the Generals of Washington and Lee University tied for first in the regular season, but E&H's 84-80 overtime win over W&L was the tiebreaker. The Wasps have won nine of their last 10 games and also put together a 10-game streak earlier in the year. Emory & Henry is also ranked No. 6 in the NCAA Division III South Region.

The Wasps will face off against the winner of #8 Lynchburg-#9 Hollins on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center. E&H met both teams only once during the season, defeating LYN by a 67-56 score on December 7 but falling to HU, 78-73, in overtime on January 15.

On the men's side, 10th-seeded Emory & Henry posted a 7-18 (4-12 ODAC) record, winning three of its last five contests to earn its way into the postseason. E&H playing a first round game in the ODAC Tournament for the second year in a row.

Emory & Henry will face #7 Ferrum on the road on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Wasps visited Swartz Gym on February 12, falling to the Panthers by a 98-74 margin. Per ODAC policy, there will be a $5 admission for adults for Tuesday's game. Students (with ID) and children will be admitted free. There is no pass list for tournament games.
