Emory & Henry Honors 176 Student-Athletes For Academic Success In 2020-21

EMORY, Va./FOREST, Va. – Emory & Henry College and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference are pleased to announce that 183 E&H student-athletes have earned academic honors for the 2020-21 academic year. One hundred thirty-seven student-athletes from the College's 20 ODAC-sponsored programs were named to the ODAC All-Academic Team while an additional 46 from men's and women's wrestling, the Intermont Equestrian, cheer and dance teams earned the designation of Emory & Henry All-Academic.

Eligibility for the ODAC All-Academic Team or Emory & Henry Scholar-Athlete is open to any student-athlete that participates in an E&H varsity sport, regardless of academic class. He or she must achieve at least a 3.25 grade point average for the year to be considered.

Emory & Henry was led by the Intermont Equestrian teams with 28 selections for their coed squad while football received the highest number of male honors with 25. Women's soccer earned the most women's team picks for a third year in a row with 18.

League-wide, 2,556 student-athletes were named to the ODAC All-Academic Team. This marks the fourth time in the last five years that more than 2,000 student-athletes have been recognized. Emory & Henry was one of a dozen ODAC schools to have 100 or more student-athletes honored.
