Emory & Henry Basketball To Host Annual Buzzmania Celebration On Friday, October 28

EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Basketball Teams will host the 10th annual Buzzmania celebration on Friday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place at Bob Johnson Court in the John Rutledge King Center.

With Friday, October 28 also serving as the opening day to Halloween Weekend, children are invited to the King Center in costume for Trick-or-Treating.

The Buzzmania celebration is free to the public and is the first opportunity for E&H fans to meet the 2022-23 Emory & Henry basketball teams and will feature a skills competition, a three-point and dunk contest, and an intrasquad scrimmage.

Fans will also hear from head coaches Ben Thompson and Jaclyn Dickens.

E&H men's basketball opens the year with a pair of exhibition games at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (Wed., Nov. 2) and East Tennessee State University (Mon., Nov.). The first regular-season contest will be against Bluefield State University on Saturday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m.

The Wasps' women's team will get the season started with an exhibition at Radford University on Thursday, November 10. The regular season will begin on Saturday, November 12 with a 4:00 p.m. game against Milligan University.
