
ROCK HILL, S.C. – South Atlantic Conference officials recently announced that 249 Emory & Henry College student-athletes have been selected to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
To be eligible for inclusion on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must have competed in a sponsored championship sport and maintained a GPA of 3.30 or higher throughout the academic year. There were 25 student-athletes that achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average over the course of 2023-24.

Emory & Henry was led by the Football team with 31 representatives on the men's side and women's soccer and softball with 23 on the women's. There were 13 teams with more than 50 percent of their student-athletes reaching the threshold. Women's Golf (5-of-6 – 83.3%), Softball (23-of-28 – 82.1%), and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field (20-of-25 – 80%) were the standouts. The top percentage on the men's side went to Men's Tennis at 66.7% (6-of-9).

League-wide, a record 3,560 student-athletes from the conference's 13 full members and six associate members received the honor.
"We are honored to recognize a record number of our student-athletes for their outstanding academic accomplishments," said SAC Commissioner Patrick Britz. "On behalf of the entire South Atlantic Conference, I want to express how extremely proud we are of the hard work and dedication these student-athletes put in the classroom and in their athletic arena."
