Brent Roark is in his third year on the Athletic Training staff and first year as Head Athletic Trainer at Emory & Henry College. Roark joined the E&H staff in 2021 with a wide variety of athletic training experience from multiple levels of college athletics.

Previous to coming to E&H, Roark worked at Wheeling University, a member of the NCAA Division II Mountain East Conference.

During his time at Wheeling, he was the Head Athletic Trainer for football and also the Athletic Trainer for women’s basketball which reached the MEC Tournament in 2020 and 2021. Roark also had the opportunity to implement a vestibular rehabilitation program in the Sports Medicine Clinic for student-athletes recuperating from concussions.

Roark earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in athletic training from Concord University in 2014, and received his Master of Arts in health promotion from Concord in 2019. He also holds an ITAT (Impact Trained Athletic Trainer) certification which emphasizes a sophisticated management and care regimen for head injuries.
