Dider Grillet is entering his first year as Director of Student-Athlete Success at Emory & Henry University and his ninth overall on staff.
As Director of Student-Athlete Success, Grillet will oversee a comprehensive student-athlete support program. The program includes monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes, academic planning, scheduling team study sessions, individual and group meetings, and communicating with coaches. He will also work closely with the University's Office of Student Success to provide comprehensive case management for student-athletes in crisis.
Grillet recently completed his fifth year as Head Men's Soccer Coach and his eighth year on staff. During his time at the helm, he saw Louis Pereira-Scott selected to the All-South Atlantic Conference Third Team in 2022 and Tyequis Stallins named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Third Team during his time as an assistant coach. In his time as head coach, 45 players were named to their respective all-academic team as well as five Academic All-District honorees.
Grillet was a four-year letterwinner for the Wasps in goal between 2013 and 2016, playing 4,743 minutes in goal across 55 matches. He concluded his career as the record-holder for wins and shutouts and is third all-time in career saves. The Charlotte, North Carolina native graduated from Emory & Henry in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in sport management.
