The Maroons drew the score to 4-3 with a run in the fifth as Jacob Clifton singled to drive in Will Decker.

Christopher put the Wasps up 6-3 after the sixth inning with a two-RBI double down the right field line, his third two-bagger of the game. RC made it 6-4 in the seventh with Luke Nowlin's run-scoring single.

In the bottom of the eighth, E&H added two more runs to eliminate the save situation and go up 8-4. Christopher and Wise both had RBI singles in the frame.

Sophomore Ty Hill (Knoxville, Tenn.) and junior Aaron Sparks (Troutman, N.C.) each pitched a shutout inning in relief.

Roanoke was paced offensively by Will Black, who went two-for-four with two runs scored. Cassady drove in two runs while Nowlin and Decker each had two hits and a RBI in the game.  Harrison Richards took the loss, allowing four runs on eight hits with three walks in five innings pitched.
