EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Baseball Team (4-26, 1-15 ODAC) picked up a doubleheader split in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action over Eastern Mennonite University (13-18-1, 7-9 ODAC) Saturday afternoon. The Wasps won game one 3-0 to snap a 13-game losing streak before the Royals took game two by a 5-2 decision.

Game One
Emory & Henry broke open a scoreless game in the bottom of the fifth when freshman second baseman Ryan Baker (Fairfax, Va.) drove in senior left fielder Logan Forster (Christiansburg, Va.) with a sacrifice fly. The Wasps doubled the margin to 2-0 in the sixth on a single by Forster and capped the scoring in the seventh on freshman third baseman Caleb Haynes' (Covington, Va.) base hit.
Sophomore J.T. Agosto (Cornelius, N.C.) earned the victory, scattering nine hits over 7.1 shutout innings with three strikeouts. Sophomore Jordan Smith (Bassett, Va.) picked up the save, striking out three. EMU's Bailey Hall took the loss, allowing three runs on eight hits in 6.1 innings.
Game Two
The Royals got things started in the top of the first with three runs highlighted by a two-run double by Brett Linsday. Singles by Zach Roberts and Corey Willis in the second and third, respectively, pushed the lead to 5-0.
E&H got on the board in the seventh with a pair of runs. Senior catcher Kodi McIlwraith (Roanoke, Va.) tripled to centerfield to plate junior designated hitter Chandler Kezele (Marshall, Va.) and was driven in on the next at bat by Forster.
Connor Lutz picked up the win for EMU, allowing just two runs on eight hits with three strikeouts in 6.2 innings. Ethan Mathews claimed the save, pitching 2.1 innings of perfect baseball. Wasp junior Toby Robson (Blythewood, S.C.) suffered the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in three innings.
