Last year, E&H went 6-31, picking up three wins against ODAC opponents.  The Wasps return 29 players from last year's squad and welcome 12 newcomers to this year's team. Top returners include position players in senior catcher Caleb Wallace (Mocksville, N.C.), junior first baseman Joe Tolone (Concord, N.C.) and junior third baseman Caleb Haynes (Covington, Va.). On the mound, 11 of the top 12 innings-getters are back for the Wasps with senior leadership coming from Toby Robson (Blythewood, S.C.), Alex Laws (Hudson, N.C.), and Ethan Cave (Jonesville, Va.).

Randolph-Macon College is picked to win the league, earning seven first-place votes while Shenandoah is second with three number-one picks. Roanoke College takes third while Virginia Wesleyan University and University of Lynchburg are fourth and fifth, splitting the final two top nods.

Emory & Henry will open the season this weekend with a three-game series at Berry College. The Wasps will play a pair of seven-inning games on Saturday at noon and complete the series on Sunday with a nine-inning contest at 1:00 p.m.
