The series was moved to Salisbury, North Carolina due to forecasted inclement weather in the Southwest Virginia area. How It Happened
Foley wasted no time setting the program's new benchmark for career hits as he drilled a single up the middle on the first pitch he saw to leadoff the first inning. Both teams were held scoreless until Catawba broke through in the top of the third with three runs on three hits and a walk to take the 3-0 lead. The Catawba Indians added a run in the fourth, five in the fifth and six more in the sixth to increase their advantage to 15-0.

Fifth-year outfielder Jermie Greene, Jr. (Troutman, N.C.) got the Wasps on the board in the bottom of the sixth when he launched a solo shot over the wall in left for his second long ball of the year. E&H tacked on another run in the bottom of the seventh when Foley singled and came around to score on an RBI double from senior outfielder Matt Hill (Pineville, N.C.), but Catawba would take the win by a 15-2 final score.

Austin Fine earned the win on the mound as he went all seven innings, scattering two runs and six hits while striking out seven batters. Fifth-year pitcher Zach Clover (Cary, N.C.) took the loss for the Wasps after allowing nine runs and 10 hits over 4 ⅔ innings of work. Foley and Greene, Jr. both recorded a pair of hits to lead the offense in the loss.
