Game One - Lenoir-Rhyne 7, Emory & Henry 5
Emory & Henry was first on the scoreboard as senior third baseman Jared Foley (Sparta, N.C.) led off the game with a single, moved up on a sacrifice bunt from fifth-year second baseman Noah Mazza (Plainfield, Ill.) and scored on an LR throwing error to put the Wasps up 1-0. The Bears responded in the bottom of the second with a two-run home run from Zach Evans to jump ahead 2-1.

E&H struck again in the top of the fourth. Junior designated hitter Jacob Bebber (Taylorsville, N.C.) walked, senior outfielder Matt Hill (Pineville, N.C.) doubled and sophomore catcher Garrison Bullock (Concord, N.C.) was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Fifth-year outfielder Christian Schmidt (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) lashed an RBI single to score Bebber and freshman shortstop Anthony Umbach (Harrisburg, N.C.) followed with a two-RBI single two batters later to give E&H the 4-2 advantage.

Both teams were held scoreless through the next three innings, but the Bears broke through in the home half of the eighth. LR tallied five runs on five hits to retake the lead at 7-4. The visitors from Emory got one back in the top of the ninth on a Mazza sacrifice fly, but it wasn't enough as the home team took game one 7-5.

Cole Bramhall was the winning pitcher for Lenoir-Rhyne, allowing one run on three hits over two innings on the mound. Kyle Murphy earned his second save of the season after recording the final two outs to clinch the win. Senior pitcher Jack Swarbrick (Haverhill, Mass.) took the loss for E&H, surrendering five runs on five hits while striking out a pair of batters in two innings of work. Umbach and Foley each recorded three hits to pace the Wasps' offense while Schmidt added a pair of knocks.

The Bears scored early and often in game two of the doubleheader, tallying three runs in the first, one in the second and 12 in the fourth to establish a 16-0 lead. The Wasps got a run back in the top of the sixth when freshman catcher Nick Morris (Mint Hill, N.C.) singled, Umbach walked and Foley delivered an RBI base hit to plate the first E&H run of the game. The Bears would go on to earn the win by a 16-1 final.

Dillon Chapa got the win on the hill for LR as he went five innings, allowing just one run on one hit. Senior righty Bryson Wagner (Salisbury, N.C.) was saddled with the loss after giving up 10 runs on 10 hits while fanning three Bears over 3 ⅓ innings.
