NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Dance Team competed for the first time in program history Sunday at the Showstopper Nashville Regionals. The event was held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

The Wasps took first place in the Hip Hop Category and fourth overall in the Senior Small Group Division. E&H scored a 111.5/120 (92.9%) which earned them Gold honors as well.

"The team took the Nashville Regionals stage by storm in its first competition this past weekend," said Head Coach Kandee Wallace. "They have put in so much work all year and each dancer truly has a passion for it, which was reflected in the judges' comments. While they did amazingly in their first time on stage, I still can't help but feel that it's only up from here!"

Emory & Henry Dance will next compete at the Encore Dance Competitions for the Stars in Greenville, South Carolina. The competition will run during the weekend of Friday, March 9 through Sunday, March 11.
