
CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team got the 2017-18 season off to a start Sunday with a third-place finish at Virginia Tech.

First Level
- Freshman Jennalee Curtis (Lafayette, Calif.) finished second (73.438%) in her first collegiate show.
- Junior Eliza Ginn (Alpharetta, Ga.) was third with a score of 72.813% while senior Eli Worth-Jones (Abingdon, Va.) scored a 66.563%.
Upper Training Level
- Sophomore Katie Maharis (Howard Beach, Queens, N.Y.) was fourth on 71.923%.
Lower Training Level
- Sophomore Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) took reserve champion honors in the test with a ride of 78.261%.
- Senior Odessa Thacker (Yorktown, Va.) was fifth (75.000%) while junior Emily Johnston (Gloucester, Va.) earned a 69.3348% on her ride.
Introductory Level
- Freshman Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) was fourth in the level on a 74.400% while freshman Caroline French (Raleigh, N.C.) scored a 67.800%.

- Emory & Henry's next IDA show will be at Bridgewater College on Sunday, October 1.
- The Wasps will open the 2017-18 IHSA season on Saturday at Averett University.
