Intermont Equestrian IHSA Team Wins At Wake Forest Saturday

PFAFFTOWN, N.C. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team put up 11 first-place finishes in 16 rides Saturday as it took home champion honors at Wake Forest University.

The Results
- Junior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) posted wins in Open Equitation on the Flat and Open Equitation Over Fences while senior Francisco Caba-Guil (Almería, SPAIN) finished first in Open Over Fences and second in Open Flat.
- Junior Kira Boerst (Seymour, Wis.) and freshman Abby McCoy (Cogan Station, Pa.) won their classes in Intermediate Fences.
- Junior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) was first in Intermediate Flat while freshman Josie Sumner (Hampshire, Ill.) took third at Intermediate Flat and fourth in Novice Fences.
- Junior Gwenyth Stromdahl (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) won in Novice on the Flat and freshman Emilie Fink (Jamesport, N.Y.) was second.
- Freshman Avery Dewan (Virginia Beach, Va.) took first in Novice Fences while junior Emily Trice (Gainesville, Ga.) was sixth.
- In Walk/Trot/Canter Equitation, senior Delaney Oursler (Hickory, N.C.) and freshman Becca Pagnini (Beaverdam, Va.) won their classes while freshman Devynn Osborne (Fort Blackmore, Va.) won at Walk/Trot.

The Awards
- Adsit was High-Point Rider of the Day for the second show in a row while Caba-Guil earned Reserve High-Point Rider honors.

- Intermont Equestrian will travel to Virginia Tech for an IHSA show on Saturday, October 13.
