Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Finishes Third At Virginia Tech Sunday

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team posted a third-place finish out of five competing teams Sunday at Virginia Tech.

The Basics
TEAM PLACE
– 3rd/5
LOCATION – Christiansburg, Virginia
VENUE – Flanagan Stables

First Level
- Senior Eliza Ginn (Alpahretta, Ga.) took second with a ride of 67.50%.

Upper Training Level
- Senior Delaney Oursler (Hickory, N.C.) was second in the Upper Training as an individual (71.90%) while junior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) placed third with a score of 70.00%.
- Junior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) was seventh in the test.

Lower Training Level
- Sophomore Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) finished third in Lower Training (70.0%)

Introductory Level
- Freshman Kaitlin Meredith (Mashpee, Mass.) took fourth in her first collegiate ride, scoring a 66.90%.

The Awards
- Virginia Tech won the team title for the second show in a row, while Bridgewater College was second.
- Madeline Wood of VT was the High-Point Rider of the Day for her performance in Upper Training while Tech's Amanda Michael was Reserve High-Point Rider after winning Lower Training.

Next Up
- Emory & Henry will close out the fall semester with a dressage show on Sunday, December 2 at home.
