WEYERS CAVE, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team got the spring portion of its season off to a start Sunday by sweeping the awards at Bridgewater College.

LOCATION – Weyers Cave, Virginia
VENUE – Bridgewater College Equestrian Center
First Level
- Senior Eliza Ginn (Alpahretta, Ga.) was fifth in her test, scoring a 68.29%.
Upper Training Level
- Senior Delaney Oursler (Hickory, N.C.) posted a score of 74.48% to win the level while junior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) was second (73.10%).
- Junior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) was sixth in the test, posting a 67.76%.
Lower Training Level
- Sophomore Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) gave E&H its second win of the day with a ride of 73.08%.
Introductory Level
- Freshman Kaitlin Meredith (Mashpee, Mass.) finished the day for the Wasps, putting up a score of 76.25% to win the Introductory test.
The Awards
- Emory & Henry won the show with 19 points while Bridgewater College (16 pts.) was team reserve champion.
- Meredith brought home High-Point Rider of the Day honors with thanks to her win in the Introductory Level.
- Oursler was the Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day on the merits of her Upper Training Level test.
Next Up
- Emory & Henry will be back in action when it hosts an IHSA show on Saturday, February 9.
- The Wasps' next IDA show will also be at home on Sunday, February 17.
