BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team picked up three test wins on its way to a team champion finish at home on Sunday.
The Basics
TEAM PLACE – 1st/6
LOCATION – Emory, Virginia
VENUE – Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center
First Level
- Senior Cassandra Oliver (Charlotte, Vt.) won the level with a score of 68.0% as an individual.
- Senior Eliza Ginn (Alpharetta, Ga.) took fifth place (65.43%) for the team.
Upper Training Level
- Junior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) claimed the victory in the Upper Training Level with a 71.72% while junior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) was the reserve champion, scoring a 70.52%.
- Senior Delaney Oursler (Hickory, N.C.) finished fifth in the test (66.38%).
Lower Training Level
- Sophomore Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) posted a third-place finish with a ride of 67.12% while junior Emily Trice (Gainesville, Ga.) was fifth on a 65%.
Introductory Level
- Freshman Kaitlin Meredith (Mashpee, Mass.) earned champion honors, scoring a 69.38% while sophomore Caroline French (Raleigh, N.C.) was fourth (66.56%).
The Awards
- E&H posted its third team win of the year while the University of Virginia was the team reserve champion with 11 points.
- Adsit was named High-Point Rider of the Day and Bonner was Reserve High-Point Rider.
Dressage Seat Equitation
- Senior Sydney Casady (Harriman, Tenn.) was fourth while freshman Allison Inggs (Mount Edgecomb, SOUTH AFRICA) was fifth at First Level.
- In Upper Training competition, Oursler picked up the victory while freshman Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) was fifth.
- At the Lower Training Level, freshman Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) posted a win while Trice and junior Gwenyth Stromdahl (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) each took second. Junior Mya Lizzadro (Naperville, Ill.) was third.
- French and junior Catherine Hill (Roanoke, Va.) both claimed wins at the Introductory Level.
