WEYERS CAVE, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team got the 2019-20 season started on Sunday with a third-place finish at Bridgewater College.
The Basics
TEAM PLACE – 3rd/6
LOCATION – Weyers Cave, Virginia
VENUE – Bridgewater College Equestrian Center
First Level
- Sophomore Allison Inggs (Mount Edgecomb, SOUTH AFRICA) took second in the class with a score of 75.156%, riding as an individual.
- Senior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) was sixth for the team, scoring a 68.438%
Upper Training Level
- Sophomore Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) finished fifth on a 68.846% as an individual while junior Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) was seventh (67.885%).
Lower Training Level
- Sophomore Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) posted a reserve champion finish on her ride of 72.826%.
Introductory Level
- Junior Kaitlin Meredith (Mashpee, Mass.) won the level, scoring a 68.438% in her test for the team while senior Catherine Hill (Roanoke, Va.) was fourth (63.759%).
The Awards
- Bridgewater won the team championship with Virginia Tech taking second over E&H in a tiebreaker.
- BC's Melissa Limpicki earned High-Point Rider of the Day for her win at First Level while E&H's Inggs was Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day for her reserve champion finish in the test.
Dressage Seat Equitation
- Boyle was fifth and freshman Emily Esposito (Virginia Beach, Va.) was sixth at the First Level.
- Upper Training saw senior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) senior Gwenyth Stromdahl (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) take second and fifth, respectively.
- In Lower Training, sophomore Makalyn Williams (Granville, Ohio) was first while junior Caroline French (Raleigh, N.C.) and sophomore Brooke Viehman (Shorewood, Ill.) were third and sixth, respectively.
- Hill picked up a win at the Introductory Level.

- Emory & Henry will close out the IDA regular season on Saturday, March 24 at Virginia Tech.
