Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Posts Successful Weekend

IDA Team following Saturday's show at Virginia Tech.

CHRISTIANSBURG/WEYERS CAVE, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team showed twice over the weekend, claiming a Reserve Champion finish at Virginia Tech on Saturday and winning at Bridgewater College Sunday.

Saturday's Basics
TEAM PLACE – 2nd/6
HOST – Virginia Tech
LOCATION – Christiansburg, Virginia
VENUE – Flanagan Stables

First Level
- Senior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) was second in the test for the team with a score of 72.571% while sophomore Allison Inggs (Mount Edgecomb, SOUTH AFRICA) was fourth (69.143%).

Upper Training Level
- Junior Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) took fourth, scoring a 71.379%.

Lower Training Level
- Sophomore Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) was third in the test on a ride of 69.923%.

Introductory Level
- Junior Kaitlin Meredith (Mashpee, Mass.) won the level with a score of 73.438%, earning a tiebreaker with Virginia Tech's Avery Byrd.

The Awards
- Emily Elizabeth of the University of Virginia earned High-Point Rider of the Day honors while Bridgewater's Melissa Limpicki was named Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day.

Dressage Seat Equitation
- Sophomore Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) was second in the first level while freshman Emily Esposito (Virginia Beach, Va.) was fifth.
- In Upper Training, senior Gwenyth Stromdahl (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) was second and senior Maddie Bonner (Powhatan, Va.) was fifth.
- Junior Caroline French (Raleigh, N.C.) took second place as sophomore Makalyn Williams (Granville, Ohio) placed fourth in Lower Training.
- Senior Catherine Hill (Roanoke, Va.) earned a sixth-place at the Introductory Level.

Sunday's Basics
TEAM PLACE –

HOST – Bridgewater College
LOCATION – Weyers Cave, Virginia
VENUE – Bridgewater College Equestrian Center

First Level
- Adsit was the reserve champion at First Level.

Upper Training Level
- Dunne picked up seven points with her win in Upper Training.

Lower Training Level
- Inchausti took third in the Lower Training level.

Introductory Level
- Sophomore Becca Pagnini (Beaverdam, Va.) picked up a win in the Introductory Level.

The Awards
- Pagnini earned High-Point Rider of the Day honors thanks to her win in the Introductory Level while Dunne was Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day.

Dressage Seat Equitation
- In First Level DSE, Boyle was second and Esposito was third.
- Stromdahl took second while Bonner claimed third in the Upper Training Level.
- Lower Training saw Williams finish fifth.
- Meredith picked up a win in Introductory Level competition.

Up Next
- Emory & Henry has completed the fall portion of its IDA schedule. The Wasps will return to action in the New Year.
