Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Wins 20th Region H Championship With Home Victory Sunday

BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team continued its dominance of the Intercollegiate Dressage Association's Region "H" by capturing its 20th region title Sunday at the Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center.

The Basics
TEAM PLACE – 1st/4
LOCATION – Bristol, Virginia
VENUE – Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center

First Level
Sophomore Allison Inggs (Mount Edgecombe, SOUTH AFRICA) won the level with a score of 74.143% while senior Bobbie Jo Adsit (Montpelier, Va.) took third (69.714%).

Upper Training Level
Junior Delaney Dunne (Kingsport, Tenn.) claimed a win on a ride of 71.379%.

Lower Training Level
Sophomore Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) took first place, scoring a 74.808%.

Introductory Level
Sophomore Becca Pagnini (Beaverdam, Va.) was fourth posting a 65.938%.

The Awards
E&H claimed the team championship on 18 points while Bridgewater was the reserve team champion, scoring 15 points.

The Wasps swept the individual awards as Inchausti was High-Point Rider of the Day and Inggs took Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day honors.

Dressage Seat Equitation
Freshman Emily Esposito (Virginia Beach, Va.) was third while sophomore Eleanor Boyle (Boyds, Md.) took fourth in First Level DSE.

Sophomore Makalyn Williams (Granville, Ohio) won the Lower Training DSE while sophomore Kaitlin Meredith (Mashpee, Mass.) picked up the victory in the Introductory Level.

Up Next
Emory & Henry will now await the announcement of the individual Region Champions and Reserve Champions for the 2019-20 season. The region champions earn automatic qualification to "Individual Day" at the IDA National Championship while the Reserve Champions are put into the "wild card" pot for the final three places at the national show.

The Wasps will represent Region H at the IDA National Championship, hosted by Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. The three-day show will run from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26.
