Intermont Equestrian IDA Team Wins At Virginia Tech Sunday

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IDA Team picked up its first team win of the year on Sunday at Virginia Tech. The Wasps also swept the individual honors on the day.

The Basics
TEAM PLACE – 1st/5 
LOCATION – Christiansburg, Virginia
VENUE – Flanigan Stables

First Level
Junior Emily Esposito (Virginia Beach, Va.) took fourth with a score of 68% while sophomore Lindsay Shaw (Newark, Del.) was fifth on a ride of 67%.

Upper Training Level
Senior Sofia Inchausti (Bloomsbury, N.J.) won the test, scoring a 74.138%.

Lower Training Level
Senior Makalyn Williams (Granville, Ohio) claimed champion honors as she put up a 73.846%.

Introductory Level
Senior Becca Pagnini (Beaverdam, Va.) was fourth to close things out on a ride of 69.375%.

The Awards
Emory & Henry scored 17 points as the champion team while the University of Virginia was the reserve champion team.

Inchausti made it back-to-back High-Point Rider of the Day accolades as Williams' ride was good for Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day accolades.

Dressage Seat Equitation
In first level, freshman Ava Harry (Wake Forest, N.C.) was third while freshman Leonhard Zenneck (Grünwald, GERMANY) was fourth.

Upper Training Level DSE saw freshman Sabrina Long (Ashburn, Va.) take third and freshman Meaghan Croteau (Sparks, Md.) was third in Lower Training.

Junior Kinsey Shankles (Mascot, Tenn.) won at Introductory DSE.
