BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team captured its third-straight regional championship on Saturday with a fourth-place finish at home. Additionally, the Wasps qualified seven riders in nine different classes for individual competition at regionals.

The Results
- Senior Abby McCoy (Cogan Station, Pa.) won at Open on the Flat and was second in Open Over Fences.
- Senior Hayden Wilkes (Shamong, N.J.) was the runner up in Open Flat while freshman Caroline Cardoza (Glencoe, Ill.) placed fourth in Open Fences.
- Freshman Ava Harry (Wake Forest, N.C.) won her class of Intermediate Over Fences as freshman Maddie Anderson (Fort Myers, Fla.) was fourth.
- In Intermediate on the Flat, Madelyn Lowe (Red Lion, Pa.) picked up a win and freshman Mia Sisson (Warren, R.I.) was fourth.
- Limit Over Fences saw senior Emily Wickes (Hesperus, Colo.) take fifth.
- Junior Emily Seaver (Jonesborough, Tenn.) won at Limit on the Flat while Addison Graziano (Pineville, N.C.) was fifth.
- At Novice, freshman Megan Ulrich (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) was the winner while freshman Brianna Wagner (La Vernia, Texas) and junior Sydney Fryman (Oxford, N.C.) claimed second and third, respectively.

The Awards
- Wake Forest University was the high-point team with High Point University taking reserve high-point team honors.
- McCoy was named the Reserve High-Point Rider of the Day.

Regional Qualifiers
- By virtue of its regular-season championship, E&H advances to the Zone 4 Championships in April. Additionally, McCoy is the Z4-R5 representative for the Cacchione Cup, which is awarded to the top Open rider in the country at the IHSA National Championship.
- The following individuals have qualified for the Zone 4-Region 5 Championship:
               - Abby McCoy: Open Over Fences, Open on the Flat
               - Josie Sumner: Intermediate on the Flat
               - Hayden Wilkes: Intermediate on the Flat
               - Emilie Fink: Limit Over Fences, Limit on the Flat
               - Sofia Inchausti: Limit on the Flat
               - Makalyn Williams: Limit on the Flat
               - Daniella Lima: Novice
