Intermont Equestrian IHSA Team Finishes Second At High Point Saturday

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team earned a reserve champion finish in its second trip to High Point University on Saturday. The Wasps posted eight top-three finishes on the day.

The Results
- Senior Hayden Wilkes (Shamong, N.J.) won at Open Equitation over Fences and was second at Open on the Flat.
- In Intermediate competition, freshman Elizabeth Church (Elk Grove, Calif.) was the runner up Over Fences and took fourth On the Flat. Sophomore Maddie Anderson (Fort Myers, Fla.) tallied a second-place finish of her own in Intermediate Fences.
- Sophomore Sierra Smith (Olathe, Kan.) turned in a pair of third-place performances at Limit with freshman Reme Sharp (Strasburg, Va.) adding a third-place ribbon of his own at Limit on the Flat.
- Senior Amanda Koeppe (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) finished third at Novice with junior Alex Osborne (Charlottesville, Va.) taking fifth.
- Junior Brendan Blevins (Troutdale, Va.) was fourth at Introductory in his first collegiate appearance.

- Emory & Henry's next IHSA show will be at UNC Greensboro on Sunday, November 6. The Wasps' visit to Wake Forest University tomorrow has been cancelled.
