Intermont Equestrian IHSA Team Grabs Win At Home Saturday

BRISTOL, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College IHSA Team made it two team wins in a row Saturday at home. The show was the first of a doubleheader to be held this weekend at the Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center.

The Basics

VENUE – Emory & Henry College Equestrian Center

The Results
- Senior Hayden Wilkes (Shamong, N.J.) won at both Open Equitation Over Fences and Open on the Flat while junior Lindsay Shaw (Newark, Del.) was the runner-up in Open Flat. Freshman Sara Bender (Camp Hill, Pa.) took third in Open Over Fences.
- In Intermediate, Bender and freshman Eleni Kangas (Frankford, Del.) were both second on the Flat while Harry was second Over Fences and freshman Abigail Williamson (Sacramento, Calif.) was third.
- Limit Over Fences competition saw sophomore Meaghan Croteau (Sparks, Md.) finish second, freshman Megan Conway (Chittenango, N.Y.) take third and sophomore Kailey Levin (Cardiff, Calif.) place third.
- In Limit on the Flat, sophomore Grace Schubert (Zionsville, Ind.) was the runner-up with freshman Reme Sharp (Strasburg, Va.) finishing third and freshman Mikaela Spain (Arlington, Va.) placing sixth.
- Junior Skyler Shaw (Orangeville, Pa.) and sophomore Madelyn Sheppard (Maynard, Mass.) each won their classes in Novice with sophomore Peyton Helscher (Simi Valley, Calif.) taking fifth and sophomore Kayla Moore (Abingdon, Va.) finishing sixth.
- Both junior Brendan Blevins (Troutdale, Va.) and sophomore Hope Christensen (Moroni, Utah) were second in Introductory.

The Awards
- E&H was the team champion while Wilkes was the High-Point Rider of the Day.
