
PROVIDENCE, N.C. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry University IHSA Team dominated at Averett University on Sunday to begin the spring phase of its season. The Wasps had a clean sweep over fences and picked up five more blue ribbons on the flat. E&H saw 12 out of the 13 rides post podium finishes.

The Results
- Open Over Fences started the day with senior Emma Pell (Winchester, Va.) claiming the top spot. In the Open Flat portion, senior Sara Bender (Camp Hill, Pa.) picked up a blue ribbon, with Pell finishing fifth.
- In intermediate, senior Ava Harry (Wake Forest, N.C.) picked up a win over fences and on the flat. Senior Liv Abbruzzi (Irmo, S.C.) also picked up a blue on the flat.
- Limit competition sophomores Serenity Eaton (Gulfport, Fla.) and Grace Simpson (Culpeper, Va.) both won their sections over fences, while seniors Sierra Smith (Olathe, Kan.) and Emma Gurley (Rutherfordton, N.C.) both placed second on the flat in their sections.
- Novice Flat had senior Hannah Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) post a first-place finish while sophomore Julia Seery (Colebrook, Ct.) picked up third.
- In Introductory flat, freshman Elana Trejo (Rustburg, Va.) added one more blue to the Wasps' daily tally.

- Harry was the High-Point Rider of the Day thanks to her victories.
