
CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry University IDA Team wrapped up its 24th-straight Region H Championship over the weekend with a pair of strong showings at Virginia Tech. The Wasps clinched the region title on Saturday by taking Reserve High-Point Team honors and finished as High-Point Team on Sunday.

First Level
Senior Maddie Anderson (Fort Myers, Fla.) earned a 66.969% which placed her second. Senior Ava Harry (Wake Forest, N.C.) followed up with a 63.484% to finish fourth.
Upper Training Level
Senior Sierra Smith (Olathe, Kan.) won her test with a score of 70.344%.
Lower Training Level
Senior Meaghan Croteau (Sparks, Md.) posted a second-place finish with a 71.923%.
Introductory Level
Sophomore Bailey Shive (Hot Springs, Ark.) finished second. (67.813%)
Dressage Seat Equitation
Sophomore Anna Norton (Charlotte, N.C.) was third at First Level.
Upper Training saw sophomore Cetari White-Anderson (Clatskanie, Ore.) clench a win and senior Madison Couperthwait (Otego, N.Y.) was fourth.
Junior Elly Gurshpun (Henrico, Va.) took second place in Lower Training.
The Awards
Virginia Tech was the High-Point team with 19 points, while the Wasps were the Reserve High-Point Team.

Lower Training Level
Senior Hannah Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) won her division with a 73.846%.
Introductory Level
Freshman Samantha Nappi (Bedford, Mass.) earned a 69.688% to finish second.
Dressage Seat Equitation
Sophomore Anna Norton (Charlotte, N.C.) earned second at First Level.
The Upper Training division saw sophomore Cetari White-Anderson (Clatskanie, Ore.) snag third while senior Madison Couperthwait (Otego, N.Y.) earned fifth.
The Awards
The Wasps won with 19 points, while the University of Virginia was the Reserve High-Point team, scoring a team total of 14 points. Harry was Reserve High Point Rider of the Day.
