RANDLEMAN, N.C. – The Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry University IHSA Team captured its sixth-straight regional championship, rounding out the season with a fourth-place team finish. Additionally, the Wasps qualified eleven riders for individual competition at the Zone 4-Region 5 Region Championships. The Wasps won all but one competition over the season.

The Results
-Senior Emma Pell (Winchester, Va.) opened the day in the Open division, claiming third on the flat and fourth over fences.
- In the Intermediate competition, senior Sierra Smith (Olathe, Kan.) was first over fences, followed by senior Erin Ryan (Seven Valleys, Pa.) who was fourth. The flat portion of the division saw seniors Emma Gurley (Rutherfordton, N.C.) and Madison Couperthwait (Otego, N.Y.) finish fourth and fifth, respectively.
- Seniors Maddie Whitley (Stuarts Draft, Va.) and Grace Reynen (Mission Viejo, Calif.) won their sections of Limit Over Fences. Limit Flat ended with senior Maddie Anderson (Fort Myers, Fla.) placing fifth.
- The Novice division saw senior Hannah Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) take home second place.
- Introductory Flat concluded the day, with senior Ambrose Tisdale (Beulah, Colo.) finishing fourth.
The Awards
- Averett University and High Point University tied point-wise, with Averett claiming top honors with more over-fences points. Wake Forest University followed close behind in third, with the Wasps a point behind in fourth.
Regional Qualifiers
- By virtue of its regular-season championship, E&H advances to the Zone 4 Championships in April which will be hosted by Virginia Tech University.
