AUSTIN, Texas – Emory & Henry College has seen two of its football players named to 2011 NCAA Division III Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District V Team, CoSIDA officials announced Thursday. CoSIDA is the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Senior wide receiver Preston Jennings (Banner Elk, N.C.) and sophomore quarterback Kyle Boden (Knoxville, Tenn.) have been selected to the Academic All-District First Team, and are now eligible for Academic All-America® honors.

Jennings is a graduate of Avery County High School and a three-year letterwinner for the Wasps. The Banner Elk, N.C., native has caught a team-high 64 passes on the year for 503 yards and four touchdowns. He broke the E&H and Old Dominion Athletic Conference record for receptions in a game against Hampden-Sydney, when he reeled in 21 passes on the day. Jennings is majoring in geography and business management and holds a 3.41 grade point average.

Boden, a graduate of Karns High School, has led the E&H offense this season at the quarterback position. He has thrown for 2,305 yards on the year, the most since Todd Woods tossed for 3,058 yards in the 2004 season. Boden has connected with receivers on 65.6 percent (231-352) of his attempts and has tallied 19 touchdowns with just eight interceptions for a 133.9 passer rating. Boden has thrown for over 300 yards three times this season including a career-best 390 yards against Hampden-Sydney where he set a new school and league record with 51 completions. Boden is a 4.0 student, majoring in chemistry and biology.

CoSIDA members nominate and vote in selection of Academic All-District and All-America performers in 12 sport categories across all divisions of college athletics.
