Kyle Boden and Adam Pugh Named Academic All-District

AUSTIN, Texas – Emory & Henry College has seen two of its football players named to 2012 NCAA Division III Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District V Team, CoSIDA officials announced Thursday. CoSIDA is the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Junior quarterback Kyle Boden (Knoxville, Tenn.) and senior wide receiver Adam Pugh (Norwalk, Ohio) have been selected to the Academic All-District First Team, and are now eligible for Academic All-America® honors. The pair are two of 10 players from Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools represented and hold the highest GPAs of any players recognized from District V.

Boden, a graduate of Karns High School, has led the E&H offense for the past two seasons. He has thrown for 2,188 yards on the year, and is the first Wasp to eclipse the 2000-yard mark twice in his career. Boden has thrown for over 300 yards four times this season including a season-high 364 yards against Randolph-Macon. He also threw for four touchdowns in the season-opener against Ferrum. Boden is a 3.97 student, majoring in chemistry and biology.

He had a season-high four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown against Randolph-Macon. Pugh is majoring in athletic training and holds a 3.95 grade point average.
