Kyle Boden Named ODAC Offensive Player Of The Week

FOREST, Va. - Emory & Henry College senior quarterback Kyle Boden has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, ODAC officials announced Sunday. The Knoxville, Tenn., native wins the award for the fourth time in his career.

Boden threw for 382 yards in the Wasps' 61-22 drubbing of Methodist University Saturday afternoon. The Karns High School graduate completed 29-of-31 of his pass attempts including five touchdowns. Boden also rushed for 24 yards and a touchdown for 406 yards of total offense.

The 382 passing yards was good for fourth-most in school history and 406 yards of offense is also fourth-best in the annals of the program. Five touchdown passes ties for third-most in program history while Boden's completion percentage of 93.5% ranks as the most efficient in ODAC history.

The Wasps' 61 points is the most scored under Head Coach Don Montgomery and the most for the program since a 61-7 victory over Maryville (Tenn.) College in 1990.

Emory & Henry will have its annual bye week next week and will open league play at Randolph-Macon College on Saturday, October 5 at 1:00 p.m.
