Rob Grande To Accept Head Coaching Position At Ferrum

EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College Associate Head Football Coach Rob Grande has resigned to assume the head coaching duties at Ferrum College. Grande was announced as the new leader of the Panthers on Wednesday.

Grande served on the E&H football staff for 11 years including six as associate head coach. His duties also included that of defensive coordinator for eight years in addition to recruiting coordinator and position coach.

While at Emory & Henry, Grande coached 14 All-ODAC First-Teamers on defense and two players in Marshall Doss and Devan Sproles who were named Lou Wacker ODAC Defensive Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-America. Doss and Sproles also earned State Linebacker of the Year honors from the Touchdown Club of Richmond.

Ferrum, a member of the USA South Athletic Conference, posted a 2-8 record (2-5 USA South) this season. The Wasps and Panthers have met 31 times on the gridiron since 1985 with E&H taking the last seven meetings.
