Craig Stutzmann Accepts Coaching Position At Hawai’i

EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College Assistant Football Coach Craig Stuzmann has resigned to assume a position on the coaching staff at the University of Hawai'i. The Warriors announced Friday that Stutzmann was returning to his alma mater to become the team's Passing Game Coordinator.

Stutzmann served on the E&H football staff for two years as the offensive coordinator, curating the exciting, up-tempo "spread-and-shread" offense. The Wasps averaged 34.6 points per game and gained over 9,000 yard of total offense, throwing for 5,512 yards in two seasons. During this time, Emory & Henry notched a 14-6 record (9-5 ODAC) and finished in a tie for first place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference in 2014.

"I want to thank Coach Newsome and his wife Melinda, President Schrum, (Director of Athletics) Myra Sims, our football team, and the E&H community for letting me be a part of the "Wasps' Ohana," Stutzmann commented. "The last two years have been a blast for us and will always hold a special place in our hearts."

While at Emory & Henry, Stutzmann coached quarterback Kevin Saxton to Rookie-of-the-Year honors in 2014 and saw a total of 11 offensive players named to the All-ODAC Teams.
