Emory & Henry Wins Season-Opening ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan Poll

FOREST, Va. - The first week of Old Dominion Athletic Conference football has come to a close with the awarding of ODAC Football Play of the Week. The fan poll saw fans engage more than 1,100 times with the six plays in the season-opening feature.

Emory & Henry College earned the first win of year behind the dynamic kick-off return for a touchdown byfreshman running back Kendrick Kube (Culpeper, Va.).

After Ferrum had tied the score, 31-all, with 1:17 to play, Kube returned the advantage to Emory & Henry on the ensuing kickoff. Starting from his own 3-yard line, he cut outside from the left hash before using a spin move to elude the final two defenders on the way to a 97-yard return for a touchdown and a 38-31 Wasps' lead.

E&H's kickoff return touchdown against the Panthers garnered 36.9 percent of the vote from ODAC football fans. The Wasps win the fan poll for the fourth time since it was started at the beginning of the 2014 season.
