EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Football Team put together a solid team performance as it earned a 37-14 victory over The Apprentice School last week. The Wasps played well on both sides of the ball, racking up 489 yards of total offense and forcing three turnovers on defense. E&H looks to end the season on a high note with a victory in Saturday's season finale at Guilford College.

Last Meeting
The Wasps fired on all cylinders as they dominated the Quakers for a 34-7 win at home last year. E&H tallied 509 yards of total offense while only allowing 238 yards by GC. Emory & Henry fired caused constant problems for the Guilford quarterback, with five sacks and six hurries. Dominic Dunnaville (Roanoke, Va.) threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns while three E&H backs ran for over 50 yards. The Wasps will look to match that performance last year in hopes of ending the season with a two-game winning streak.

Emory & Henry
Senior running back Isaiah Rodgers (Canton, Ga.) had a career day last week at The Apprentice School, running for 143 yards and two scores. Rodgers will look to go out with a bang as he currently sits sixth in the ODAC in rushing. Freshman quarterback Hunter Taylor (Summerville, S.C.) started his second career game and continued to show his dual-threat capabilities with 133 passing yards for two touchdowns and 68 rushing yards as well. The Wasps will need both Rogers and Taylor at the top of their game and the contribution of several others to beat Guilford this week.

Freshman defensive back Tyler Redmond (Arden, N.C.) had a great game against the Builders Saturday, picking off two passes and making five stops. The Wasps have forced five turnovers in the past three games, doubling their season total. An opportunistic defense will be beneficial in securing an E&H win to close out the season.

Guilford
Guilford has a strong passing attack led by senior quarterback Karsten Miller, who was knocked out of the game against E&H last year. His top target has been reigning ODAC Rookie of the Year Tyriek Russell. Russell has 52 catches for 818 yards and six touchdowns, and will be a force to be reckoned with for the Quakers. Slowing down the GC offense will be difficult, yet necessary, in order to pick up a win Saturday.

Game Information
Kickoff between the Wasps and the Quakers is set for 1:00 p.m., at Armfield Athletic Center on the Guilford College campus in Greensboro, North Carolina.
