Phillips led the Wasps with 11 tackles in their 48-42 come-from-behind victory over Washington and Lee. E&H rallied from second-half deficits of 28-7 and 42-28 in the victory.

Six of Phillips' tackles went down as solo stops but his biggest contribution to the cause came at the end of the third quarter. On the first play of the drive following an E&H touchdown, Phillips  forced and recovered a fumble at the Generals' 19 yardline and tight-roped his way to the end zone, tying the score at 28-all.

On the year, Phillips leads E&H defensively with 28 tackles (22 solo) and has 4.5 tackles for a loss to go along with his touchdown.

Additionally, junior quarterback Hunter Taylor (Summerville, S.C.) was honored by the league as ODAC Defensive Player of the Week. It is time since October 21, 2018 that the Wasps have swept weekly honors from the conference office.

Emory & Henry (4-2, 3-1 ODAC) will be on the road next weekend when it visits Shenandoah University (4-2, 3-2 ODAC). Kickoff between the Wasps and Hornets is set for 1:00 p.m.
