ROCK HILL, S.C. - Emory & Henry College sophomore quarterback Charles Mutter, III (King George, Va.) has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday. This year, the SAC Player of the Week is sponsored by WePlayed Sports.

This marks the first time since E&H joined the SAC in 2022 that an offensive player has earned Player of the Week honors from the league office.

Mutter went 13-for-18 (72.2%) through the air for 253 yards and four touchdowns in E&H's 56-10 drubbing of Concord University on Saturday. He also added 20 yards rushing, giving himself 273 yards of total offense.

His first two scoring throws came in the first quarter as the Wasps opened up a 21-0 lead and never looked back in their defeat of the Mountain Lions. On the afternoon, Mutter had touchdown completions of 40, 45, 32 and 43 yards.

Emory & Henry (1-0, 0-0 SAC) will travel to Bluefield State University (1-0, 0-0 CIAA) on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. matchup with the Big Blues.
