Emory & Henry Football Sees Three Named To VaSID All-State Teams

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Emory & Henry University has seen a trio of players add additional accolades to their résumés with the release of the Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State Teams.

Sophomore wide receiver Cam Abshire (Roanoke, Va.) was selected to the VaSID College Division All-State First Team while senior linebacker Kaleb Lundy (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and junior offensive lineman Deshaun Sharp (Spotsylvania, Va.) were tabbed to the second team.

Abshire was previously recognized as an All-South Atlantic Conference First-Teamer along with a pair of honorable mention All-America nods from D2Football.com and Don Hansen. He was also named to the D2CCA All-Super Region Two Second Team and was the Touchdown Club of Richmond's Offensive End of the Year.

Lundy earns VaSID honors for the second year in a row after being picked to the first team in 2023. He was named to the All-SAC First Team for 2024.

Sharp garners all-state accolades after leading the Wasps' offensive line on his way to First-Team All-SAC laurels.

The VaSID All-State teams are selected by the communications professionals across the Commonwealth of Virginia. VaSID, founded in 1983, selects All-State teams for multiple sports as well as Academic All-State Teams across all sports.
