Davon Morgan is entering his first year as an Assistant Football Coach at Emory & Henry College. Morgan will work with the Wasps' corps of wide receivers.

Prior to joining the E&H staff, Morgan spent the 2020 season as an assistant coach at Alderson Broaddus University in Phillipi, West Virginia. While with the Battlers, he was the pass game defense coordinator and the defensive backs coach.

Morgan coached for two years at Virginia University of Lynchburg as the co-defensive coordinator, defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator. He got his start in the coaching ranks at Virginia State University as defensive backs coach for the 2015 campaign.

Morgan's first coaching job was as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Henrico High School in Richmond, Virginia where he spent the 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons.

As a player, Morgan was a three-year starter in the defensive backfield for Virginia Tech, where he earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second-Team honors as a senior in 2010. He helped lead the Hokies to ACC titles in 2007, 2008 and 2010, three Orange Bowls and a Chick-fil-A Bowl. He played professionally with the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League and in arena football with the Richmond Raiders, New Orleans VooDoo and Richmond Roughriders.

Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human development, which he earned from Virginia Tech in 2010.
