Kyle Short is entering his second year as an Assistant Football Coach at Emory & Henry University, serving as the Quarterbacks Coach.

In his first season leading the position group, the passing offense ranked third in the country in yards per completion, tied for 15th in passing touchdowns, 25th in passing yards per game, 29th in total passing yards, and 33rd in passing efficiency. His quarterbacks played a key role in these achievements, including one who ranked eighth nationally in yards per completion.

Short began his collegiate playing career at the University of Charleston before transferring to Emory & Henry in 2021. As a Wasp, he was a two-time SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection, a 2023 Preseason All-Conference Quarterback, and was inducted into the National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society. He finished his career with 3,877 passing yards and 33 touchdowns.

A 2023 graduate of Emory & Henry University, Short earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration before completing his Master of Business Administration from E&H the following year.
