EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Basketball Team (10-5, 4-2 ODAC) shot 57.1 percent from the field en route to a 109-76 dismantling of visiting Shenandoah University (6-9, 2-4 ODAC) Saturday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup.

How It Happened
- Shenandoah scored the first five points of the game but Emory & Henry went on a 12-3 run to take a 12-8 lead at the 15:43 mark of the opening half. The Wasps built their first double-digit lead, 32-19, with 7:43 on the clock but a 14-5 run by the Hornets drew the margin back to four, 37-33.
- E&H finished the half on a 15-0 run which covered the final four minutes to take a 52-33 advantage into the locker room.
- Coming out of the break, the two teams traded baskets early before a 13-3 run by Emory & Henry extended the lead to 72-44 with 13:27 left to play.  The Wasps continued to put on the pressure and, thanks to a 16-3 run later in the half, made their largest lead of the contest 40 points (93-53) with 7:13 remaining.
- Emory & Henry was able to get its bench players some substantial playing time down the stretch as it cruised to the 33-point victory, 109-76.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Six different players reached double figures in scoring for the Wasps led by sophomore guard Clif Conley (Galax, Va.), who scored a game-high 19 points off the bench. He hit five three-pointers in the contest and added three rebounds.
- Sophomore forward Aaron Ferguson (Princeton, W.Va.) put up 18 points and eight rebounds, hitting six-of-six free throws while freshman guard Colin Molden (Apex, N.C.) had 13 points, four rebounds and six assists.
- Junior guard John Shelor (Giles, Va.) posted 13 points and six rebounds, hitting a trio of three-pointers while senior guard Myles Turner (Richmond, Va.) and junior forward Chase Branscomb (Bristol, Tenn.) had 11 points each and Turner added five rebounds and five assists.  

Shenandoah Individual Leaders
- E.J. Baltimore turned in a team-high 16 points, connecting on four three-pointers, and three assists while Evan Bates notched 13 points and four boards.
- Malcolm Clark had 11 points and six rebounds while Kwa McDonald chipped in 11 points of his own.

A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry blistered the nets all afternoon, hitting 57.1 percent (36-of-63) of its field goal attempts with 15 three-pointers made. The Wasps were nearly perfect at the free throw line, going 22-for-24 (91.7%).
- Shenandoah only managed to shoot 35.6 percent (27-of-73) from the floor but made 13 three-pointers on 31 attempts (41.9%). The Hornets only reached the charity stripe on 18 occasions, scoring 11 points on uncontested shots (61.1%).
- E&H held a 45-34 rebounding advantage but an 18-11 lead by SU on the offensive glass translated to a 22-19 margin on second-chance points.
- Emory & Henry dominated down low, outscoring Shenandoah 34-26 on points in the paint, but the Wasps' bench more than tripled its counterpart, 65-21.
- E&H assisted on 20 of its 36 made baskets compared to 10 assists on 26 buckets for SU.

Up Next
- Emory & Henry will remain at home on Wednesday as its hosts league-leading Guilford College at 7:00 p.m.
- The game will be the second of a doubleheader with the E&H women's team.
