INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Basketball Team moves up one spot this week to the number seven spot in the NCAA Division III South Regional, NCAA officials announced Wednesday. E&H is one of four Old Dominion Athletic Conference programs rated in the top eight regionally during the third ranking period of the season.
Emory & Henry (18-7, 12-4 ODAC) has won seven straight and 13 of its last 16 games en route to a third-place finish in the ODAC regular season. It is the second week in a row that the Wasps have been recognized as one of the top programs in the South.
Hardin-Simmons University is the new regional No. 1 as Guilford College drops to No. 3 following its loss to E&H last Wednesday. Also ranked from the ODAC is Randolph-Macon College (sixth) and Virginia Wesleyan College (eighth).
Emory & Henry, the #3 seed in this year's ODAC Tournament will take on sixth-seeded Roanoke College at the Salem Civic Center on Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. The Maroons defeated the Wasps in their only meeting of the regular season, 77-65, on Wednesday, January 25.
