It is the first time that an Emory & Henry men's basketball player has been placed on the D3hoops.com All-South teams since Justin Call received the award in 2002-03 and 2003-04. Branscomb adds all-region accolades to All-ODAC First Team and ODAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors from three weeks ago.

The Tennessee High School graduate started all 29 games this year and averaged a team-leading 16.7 points and was second on the squad with 8.5 rebounds per contest. His scoring average was third in the ODAC while his rebounding numbers were fourth in the league. Branscomb reached double figures in scoring in 24 games during the year and hit the 1,000-point mark at Randolph-Macon College (Feb. 10).

Emory & Henry won its first-ever ODAC Championship this season, posting a 22-7 overall record. The Wasps received the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, making their first trip to the national stage since 1993.

With the all-region accolades, Branscomb is now eligible to receive All-American honors.
